Aiden's 6th birthday was quite the funfilled day. We celebrated with friends during the day and family at night. Thanksgiving weekend is always the beginning of our holiday season. Ok- so Aiden had some close friends over for a penguin party. We ate pizza and decoarted cupcakes instead of a cake. It was a reallt good time. Thank goodness for Aunt Karri and Uncle Jamie who always help with our parties since we always choose to cram 2 in one day. Lots of pics were taken, but these a just a few to give you a glimpse.
So Aiden is now 6. How time flies by? He is so independent and DRAMATIC. Did I mention that once before? I think I did. He is definitely concerned with his clothes and his hair. Pants, socks and shoes MUST fit perfectly or else. Jason has had some trying mornings before school. Oh, just about EVERYDAY! Textures really bother him. Underwear cannot ever show. He will bend and move in all sorts of ways and if even one seam or thread shows it's a huge event of changing and starting the process all over again. Jason! Well, he's going crazy!
Aiden continues to practice facial expressions in every possible mirror or reflective surface. He's a Jim Carrey in the making. Furthermore, he draws just about everything. he is just like his daddy. Drawing and creating and making art is his favorite pasttime. He sees things in a way I cannot even fathom. Jason, however, can relate! :)
Scott suffers from those same issues with clothes and textures. Shirt collars, wrinkles. lint, even wearing a seatbelt bother him. It started as a kid and he still has issues. (with underwear too ;) he is always buying new ones) He sees a therapist now to work on it. it is called sensory tactile defense mechanism. if you ever want to research it.
